I was wondering.. do you know of any place on-line where I can find the Tomorrowland DVD set? Amazon is out of it, and DVDplanet.com doesn't even show it...
Darn. I didn't know it would be out of stock so fast :( It's the only "Treasures" DVD I really wanted from this batch. :shake:

Try www.jandr.com, Javier. I saw a bunch of copies in their store here the other day, it would stand to reason that their website would have them in stock as well.

My Costco doesn't have them either. I wanted my wife to pick up a copy for Father's Day at $21.99 but no go (they have the others).
I hate to pay full price for them.

Although this dosen't help you, all of the Wal Marts have dozens of copies of each title.

Thanks for your help. My quest starts today!

Costco in San Francisco definitely had some in stock about a week ago.

They are going fast even in the brick and mortar stores. My locale Wal Mart had about 40 copies of each title a couple of weeks ago but last night they were down to about 15 of each title.

I've seen them at Wal-Mart as well. Probably your best bet. Maybe through walmart.com

Why is this title so hard to find? Did they purposely make this a collector's item?

It is a limited edition of 105,000 sets.
Here's the run size of all of the other titles in the series:
Wave 3
On the Front Lines - 250,000
Mickey Mouse in Living Color Part 2 -175,000
Chronological Donald - 165,000
Tomorrowland - 105,000
Wave 2
Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studio - 125,000
Mickey Mouse in Black and White - 125,000
The Complete Goofy - 125,000
Wave 1
The Complete Davy Crockett Televised Series - 150,000
Silly Symphonies - 150,000
Disneyland USA - 150,000
Mickey Mouse in Living Color - 150,000
Some of them have shown up outside of tins, such as in box sets of the first two waves at Costco, but the numbers above reflect the first pressings in the tins.
Regards,
I was surprised, when I opened my tins, that Wave 3 had such varying numbers. I suppose this was based on preorders, but I would have thought that MM2 would have had more copies pressed, while Front Lines much less that 250K.

I think they recognized that "Front Lines" was a unique release, and that was certainly the focus of the marketing and press when the latest wave was released. The most recent Mickey and Donald sets were still larger runs than any previous titles in the series.

Weird thing is, I have seen the "tins" around here in México... they are not in a tin, but on a regular DVD box. And they cost $16 USD!!!
We only got part of the first wave, but I wonder about this. What's the deal of paying for the exclusivity when you'll be selling the same product somewhere else for a much lower price?
Yeah, I've always considered these "limited" only until Disney decides to make more of them...
