I just picked up the Japanese mini-lp remasters of "Moving Waves", "Hamburger Concerto" and "Live at the Rainbow". I already had the "In and Out of..." and "Focus 3" sets. Incredible sound.
Anyone know how do they measure up with the Red Bullet remasters ?

I actually sent an email to Red Bullet in Holland with just this very question - unfortunately I got no response.
I have a couple of the Japanese remasters in card sleeve, and one of the European Red Bullet remasters - they all sound excellent, and superior to the old CD versions.
I suspect the same remasters were used - the Japanese remasters as I recall have the Red Bullet logo on them. I suppose it might be possible that the same digital transfers were used, and then the Japanese put it through their K2 process, while the Europeans didn't (I don't know enough about mastering processes to know if they could do it differently like that).
I haven't compared the smae title in Japanese and European pressing, which might provide the definitive answer - I will endeavour to do so when I can find the Focus titles somewhere.
