The Who's "MY GENERATION" will be first time TRUE STEREO. It's really a great album.

The Velvet Underground "The Velvet Underground & Nico" (1967 LP; 2-CD deluxe edition) (UME, June 25)

I wonder what the remastered version will sound like. How does the MFSL version compare to the current remastered version of this album?

Joe Jackson's "Night & Day" (!) will be one I look for first!

I'll probably also pick up the Who, INXS "Kick", and maybe Marvin Gaye.

Whoever gets these first please post on how well, or not, these new remasters sound as I don't think that I'm quite ready to part with my Steve Hoffman Who recordings and my MFSL versions.;)

Never get rid of your Hoffman's Dave. If needed, I can take 'em off your hands! :D

Met a guy from North Carolina on Friday. He is working for Rhino Handmade and was gathering materials (photographs) for the new Yes box set. He said that Rhino Handmade will disappear by the summer and be replaced by Warner something-or-the-other. Warner something-or-the-other will be available at your local record store, on the shelf. Good news for me as I get KILLED with duties, taxes and handling fees when I have things shipped across the border. Not to mention stuff that never makes it here :( and disappears into the bowels of Canada Post .

Even the Doors Bright Midnight titles are starting to show up in the stores. They said they never would...

A lot of these titles are suspect, depending on what they use as bonus material. Plus, do they think 2 CD's of the Runaway's will actualy sell?

According to Asia's official website, asiaworld.org, "Anthologia" is to include ALL of Asia, Alpha, and Astra, as well as 3 b-sides and the leftovers from Then & Now. (Hmmm...not sure that all of that is going to fit on 2 CDs. Wonder what will be chopped up?)

Ain't no way anyone could tell me anymore that the record companies aren't looking at back catalog for cash farming.

2-Fer $26.99 double Cds? Seems like they're growing, famer John! Look at them' ternips!

Eh, yer wrong, me fine feathered friend! The Record Companies are gen-u-inely concerned about gettin the right turnips to the right market. Be sure that not ALL of Asia will be released - save some fer the next market down the road!

Take a look at the Skynyrd Catalogue: Best of the Rest for the 'unreleased' tracks, Collyectables for the collector, What's Your Name for the Truck Driver fan, Blues Tribute for the Blues Fan, Pickin' on Skynyrd for the Country / Bluegrass fan, Skynyrd Frynds for the 'Alternate artist' fans and the list goes on forever.....

Besides, it's 'free money' isn't it? After all the production costs, the owner of the work gets zippo.....
