Not on a normal turntable. You need to build/obtain something that can reach beyond the normal 13"-14". I believe a mother is more like 16".
As far as the polarity of the groove, it's correct (AFAIK). "Daylight Again", I'd rather search out something more playable...like a real MFSL test or normal pressing....

Oh brother. Selling a manufacturing part on Ebay ain't too cool.
To answer your question, if you have a big transcription turntable, with extra long arm, yes.
See all the extra metal around the outside? You'd have to trim that all away to fit the "Mutha" on your turntable.
Stick with records!
Isn't that illegal or something?
I was not aware that MFSL was in Chatsworth, too - like DCC!
I'd think that this "mutha" would be a stylus killer, too! ;)

McIntosh,
Frankly, they can be hard to listen to over the drone of 100db+ heavy metal music. Most metal mothers I have met have a way of making themselves heard, however!
Bob ;) ;)

Actually, that's true. Not made for playing, although I just woulnd't.
A laquer you COULD play, but only a handful of times before it would go to hell.
You could have it framed. Looks pretty....but it's also very delicate.
I'd pass. Nice picture though.

I wonder, are these items from the MFSL Chapter 7 sale or ripped off by an opportunistic former, MFSL employee?....

Even if he is, he's selling these things as MFSL items on eBay to possible (sorry to say) sheep-like bidders that will buy them.
It's also bad ju-ju to sell mothers with the given premise that this person would have these mothers fitted on a stamper and make fake one-sided MFSL test pressings to more suckers on eBay.
It's like selling a metal part for making counterfit cash, but not as harsh. Plus you have to understand the effort that went into this work is botched as far as respect. I'd be ticked off a little if I were Stan Ricker. Hey, I made that! That's Mine and only for the purpose of limited manufacturing intent!
You know, if this is really illegal, like a bootleg, I wonder if someone should inform the eBay police?
What a squealer I am ;) But I won't bring this to their attention.
I dunno... this doesn't seem "illegal" to me. What you might do with the stamper, on the other hand, could be...
