TV Land is showing every episode of the Addams Family this weekend, albeit, in a somewhat staggered order. My question, has anyone heard plans for this series to be released on DVD or should I clean off the hard drive and try to record some of these episodes?

I'd record them just because...I'm sure down the road they'll make it out, especially since the "Munsters" are coming out.
Sure wish I had cable, etc:(...Oh yea, record them all!

I figured it out, I'd need 32 hours to record the whole series. That time includes commercials, which I'd cut out later but cant do while I'm recording. I don't think my HD will hold that much. I'm going to try to edit some and burn them to DVD to clear up space.

Sounds like a real marathon, Jamie.

Are they uncut - or did they / will they zap a minute or so out of the middle like they did with Get Smart?

I'm sure they'll be edited versions. Gotta get those commercials in!

I just read the guy that wrote the Addams Family wrote several Marx Brothers' movies.

It's one of my favorite shows, and with all original music, I don't know why it wouldn't come out on DVD. Since they're cramming everything into one weekend, how many seasons was this show on?

2 Seasons...The Munsters and the Addams Family were both cancelled...at the same time:) I love 'em both.

Were they both the same network? I'm too young to know where they were on your television dial. I think Munsters was CBS, right?

I love the Addams Family. I think you should check the schedule again, though, because I think the Addams Family marathan is on the first weekend of June, not this weekend. (I seem to recall TVLand hyping a marathon of Cheers for this coming weekend.)

2 Seasons...The Munsters and the Addams Family were both cancelled...at the same time.....

A very sad time in TV history... :(

But I'm glad they still exist - and that one's coming out on DVD! :D

I'm counting the DAYS!!! One of my all time favorites! I hope they do it well...I'm looking forward to seeing them commercial free:thumbsup:
