Someone mentioned interesting Q stuff was available at Deadnet.com, so I went to see. Wow! Ordered the companion immediately. I love Scraps, so this was an automatic. Click here: Link (http://store1.dead.net/site/store.cgi?invoice=&cat=Music&t1=1012074793&t2=580115)

Anyone got this already?

Yes, that was I who mentioned the NRBQ connection with www.dead.net.

And I have had that disc since it's release. It is very good. It is basically a live session from 1972 (that was broadcast on the radio in Memphis), with 6 outtakes (alternates) from the actual Scraps sessions. Essential 'Q listening.

And the new album "Atsa My Band" is very good also - better, IMHO, than their last release.

MikeT, thanks for the original heads-up, and the added info. :)

I will see if I can't listen to a few cuts from Atsa My Band on the web. Can't wait for the Companion to arrive. What's with Deadnet's 1-4 weeks shipping estimated time of arrival for lowest cost shipping? Odd.

Actually, Dan, that time frame is to cover themselves since the US Mail can sometimes be unpredictable. Most of the time, since I ordered all Dicks Picks and now the new 'Q stuff from them, the item will show within 1 week - 2 at the most. When I ordered "Atsa My Band" it took exactly 1 week from time of order to show up in my mailbox.

Grateful Dead Merchandising would get tons of calls/e-mails if alot of their orders took longer than 1 - 2 weeks. So by giving themselves up to 4 weeks, they can offset any inquiring customers that may be having problems caused by the postal service and not Grateful Dead Merchandising.

Good Listening.

MikeT, I see this thread has only 45 views at the time of this posting. A little disappointing, we've got to get the word out on the Q!

NRBQ is great!

You owe it to yourself to listen to a few tracks on the web!

Try "Scraps", you won't be disappointed!
