I looked through the archives, I used the Steve Hoffman search feature, and I could not find this mentioned. I just got my Mickey Volume 2 and my Donald Volume 1 DVD sets, and the tins are not numbered. What is going on here? How do I, the consumer, really know if this is trully a limited edition, and how do I know how many total they plan on producing? This is really bugging me.

That's what I noticed too. They've also produced this round of releases in slightly higher numbers. I guess the unexpected success of the first two waves of titles, not to mention what the re-sale value has become like on eBay, must have gotten back to the powers that be at Disney. I'm really enjoying these latest DVD's especially the Tomorrowland and On The Front Lines discs.

I must say that I don't understand why people care about the numbers and such. These sets provide tremendous value for the money, regardless of any "collectibility" issues. I wish they weren't limited so that others coming late to the party would have a chance to revel in these treasures (Treasures?) too.

Although the first seven titles that were released in the metal tins are sold out, I have seen a box set(w/o the tins) with all of them included. Not sure how widely available it is but I saw it at my local Costco. A bit pricey at $125 but that comes to roughly $18 per two DVD set. Cheaper than they were when you could buy them individually.
