its a band that doesn't get mentioned too often but have always enjoyed them especially the nasal voice of their lead singer. i have three of their albums on vinyl (i think they only did three).

house on the hill - UK new Virgin pressing not bad but not exciting either
friends, friends friends - german Phillips unfortunately not in the best nick so hard to compare to my regular CD although in parts it is very good.
lunch - i think an original UK pressing, lovely fantastic sonics.

i wondered what other people thought about the band and whether there are LP's/CD's i should look out for.

Hi, Neal..

You should look out for an original UK Charisma House on the Hill, it's a great experience. The first LP (Audience) is on UK Polydor, and has always been hard to find. It also contains a version of The House on the Hill.

Audience's singer, Howard Werth, has a couple of solo albums you should check out, that came out just after Lunch. The first is King Brilliant, and sounds much like Lunch only not quite such good songs.

Good luck in the search!
Mike

i found two versions of "lunch" english charisma and a german electra. the english version is much better. i have been looking for the "house on the hill" for ages and was just happy to get the virgin pressing.

i have not seen that first album despite hearing about it.

the singer Werth has a most unusual voice, it can actually grate you at times.
