Early 60's R+B? Please excuse my voice.

Mi, mi, mi, mi, mi....

Ooh (long U sound) wee baby,
Baby your so fine,
Like to have a ring,
Just to show your mine.
Ohhhh baby,
Baby, baby your so fine,
So fine, fine, fine...

First one to answer correctly gets my sealed Abbey Road DCC Gold Disc

On your mark,
Get set...

Same year but it might of been made earlier. I used to cut school with my older sister and it was always on the radio. Strike Two! :)

The "Twinkie" defense works for me. Btw now-a-days it's the grandkids for me. The wifes oven and my roasting stick have seen their better days. Can you say memories?

Larry:

It couldn't be "Gee Baby" by Jo & Ann, could it?

If so, it originally came out on Ace Records in 1959, but was evidently reissued a couple of years later, or at least became a regional hit in enough areas that it was getting airplay as an oldie.

The Oldies 45 folks put it on the flip of Frankie Ford's "Sea Cruise" for a later reissue, and I think it may have even made it to an Ace CD compilation, though I'm not positive about that.

In any event, hope this is close to what you were looking for!

Found it on this CD. Thanks for the heads up. I might have it on the back of the 45.

Steve better hurry up and master Abbey Road. :(
