Hi,
I think I saw the Portrait of Pee Wee and Blues Hoot as well. Can somebody comment on these titles?
Thanks.

...and I enjoy it a lot. In fact, now I need to go listen to it!

Pee Wee was surprisingly good for me as I prefer bebop and modern jazz. Great recording and more important, a great, upbeat preformance. And I think it was mastered by the right guy;)

I have Blues Hoot on DCC gold and it is fantastic. Funny too. Great stuff I might not have ever discovered if Steve's name wasn't on it

Blues Hoot is a hoot! Great show. Wonderful picture of Lightnin' enjoying his later day success with a very appreciative audience. As usual Steve's done a good job on this one. Any blues fan will love it....get it!

I like the gold Blues Hoot too. Not so much for the Lighnin' Hopkins solo tunes (It is strange to listen to his voice in left channel and his guitar in the right/center), but for the Sonny Terry/Brownie McGhee/Lightnin tunes which are fun and sound GREAT.
BTW Musicforasong has it for $9.99.

Thanks guys for your opinions.
Can't find these wonderful titles in Manila but luckily, I found them here in Bangkok. I just bought the DCC LP versions of Madman, Blues Hoot and the Erich Wolfgang Korngold for USD20.00 each. (I hope I did not paid too much though they are sealed copies.)
I can't wait to listen to them. Thanks again.

I had purchased the DCC Gold CD Blues Hoot from Musicforasong a little while back and finally gave it a listen today. The sound is very good and I really enjoyed the live concert performances. They are very real and you feel like you are sitting in the front row enjoying some legendary performers.
I highly recommend this title to any blues fan or anyone looking for some great live acoustic guitar recordings.
