Saw this on eBay and got a good laugh out of it.I hope this was just a typo.
Enjoy!
(When Bob Dylan completely scrapped the first version of this album and re-recorded the whole thing from the scratch, he seems to have had second thoughts about the cover, as well. This legendary album, one of the most veneered Rock albums ever made, ....)

Veneered?
Like with a nice tamo ash, or mahogany? Maybe a rosewood? Bubinga? :D

When Bob recorded Blood on the Tracks in NYC it was distributed in acetate and the rear of the jacket reflected the lyrics on that version. When his brother heard it he convinced Bob that it sounded a bit off because he played everything in the same open tuning, and perhaps some of the tracks failed to cover his personal tracks. Thus he visited his brother in MN and rerecorded several of the tracks. The release is a mix of the two recording sessions. The rear cover was changed after a while to cover the fact that it discussed lyrics on longer on the album. Then the jacket notes won a Grammy or sometihing like that so the rear of the jacket was changed back. :D

Spent over an hour picking out a wood for those DIY puppies. The guy selling me veneer had "celebrity specials" -- veneers left over from Tom Cruise's airplane and Reba McEntire's office.
