Actually, Jim wanted Disney to buy the Muppets and his dream came true posthumously.

I know Jim Henson himself was negotiating with Disney to sell the Muppets around the time of his death.

Weren't the Muppets associated with The Mouse earlier, in the '90's?
Something like this was inevitable with Hensen gone. Better Disney than say, Larry Flynt!

Ever see Meet the Feebles? Great (albeit disgusting) movie about a Muppet-type TV show. I loved it even before I knew who Peter Jackson (who wrote and directed it) was!
