I love Letterman. He uses silly novelty albums in a comic bit now and then.
I remember one in particular, some horrible song from a Hush Puppy convention or something. It was so annoying, and after a while the cue card guy went ballistic, spewing curse words in Spanish as he thrashed the LP cover and was dragged out by security. Part of the bit, of course. Classic Letterman and hilarious!:D
