Does anybody recall listening to an "underground" music program originating from KAAY, Little Rock, during the late sixties and early seventies? KAAY was a 50,000-watt, clear channel radio station and could therefore be heard quite far away at night. The original DJ, Clyde Clifford, has resurrected the old program on the 'net. Here's the URL: http://beakerstreet.com/

I remember it very well...I was attending Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. KAAY boomed in there at night (They were directional at night--straight north and south in those days). I listened to their regular Top 40 programming in the late 60's in high school (came on at 8pm, as I recall). Clyde's program was the first time I heard the full length version of Jump In To Fire-Nilsson. Used to have that spooky bumper music playing during his chatter between songs...thanks for the link and the memories!
