H.R. PUFNSTUF released on DVD today

"H.R. Pufnstuf! Who's your friend when things get rough? "

If last week's short-lived "age" poll was any indication, I'm not the only one who grew up with Sid and Marty Krofft's low budget, sometimes campy Saturday morning shows like H.R. PUFNSTUF and SIGMUND.

I'll probably just rent it, but thought I'd let the other children of the 70's know.

How about you? Any other 70's TV Guilty Pleasures out there?

I wonder if the commentary track will explain how much LSD went into the production of this show!

H.R. Pufnstuff got mentioned on VH1 I love the 70's, BTW. Perhaps that's why it's getting released.

:agree: Oooh yeeaaah. I'm a raving fan of the Krofft shows. After the Puffapalooza marathon, back in 1995, I think, Columbia sold a set of VHS tapes of Krofft shows (well, all of them except for Land of the Lost) and I bought 'em all. So I can wake up on Saturday morning and watch an episode of Magic Mongo or Lidsville, just like I did when I was a kid.

Far Out Space Nuts, Lost Saucer, Bigfoot and Wildboy, the Bugaloos. Now that's quality entertainment!

I heartily recommend this book about Krofft (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1580630073/qid=1076701644/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/102-0651003-7200112?v=glance&s=books) -- it's chock full o' good trivia.
