Billy Thorpe: Children Of The Sun. The UFO's flying buy repeatedly.

Roger Waters: The Ballad Of Bill Hubbard. The barking German Sheppard. The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range. The bomb explosion at the end of this song is incrediable.

Pink Floyd: Another Brick In The Wall Pt.1. That helicopter does it for me everytime

Pink Floyd - Money - cash register fx

Pink Floyd - Time - clocks o' plenty

Love Is the Drug--Roxy Music (footsteps, car starting)

We Have Heaven--Yes (Door slams shut, music cuts off, footsteps running away. At the end of the album, a door opens, and the song makes an unannounced reappearance.)

Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day--Jethro Tull (Ian fixes himself a cup of tea)

Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio?--Ramones(somebody flipping through an AM radio dial)

Fall of the House of Usher--Alan Parsons Project (lots of stuff going on in this one--rain, thunder, door-knocking, etc.)

I can't remember the name of the song riight now, but it's done by Rush, where the pop bottle smashes on the concrete. It made me jump out of my chair the first time I heard it.

Kate Bush was "loaned" that helicopter for one of the songs on Running Up That Hill, IIRC by Dave Gilmour.

Oh, and though it's supposed to sound like chaos, I like the end of All The Young Girls Love Alice.

Blackbird and Piggies also have nice use of sound f/x. Slightly different on the mono/stereo comparison of these tunes, and I prefer the stereo, more subtle use of the sounds.

Apocalypse Now soundtrack. First track – The End by the Doors. When I hear those helicopters, man……… ‘shiver’ ! Puts ne in a different frame of mind. Time to turn out the lights and listen to some Kate!

Roger Waters: Amused To Death has more of a variety of natural sounds, delivered impecabley (spelling) in a way that the realism of them is unbeatable.

Ever chopped wood before? Listen to this cd.;)

Agree with the Doors and Riders..also with Kate Bush and that helicopter track from the second half suite on Hounds of Love..great choices!

That rain effect can also be found to good effect on Madonna's track called..er..Rain!

I also like that creepy Tom Waits track "What's he building in there?" from Mule Variations for some wild background goings on.

Also U2 and the army chanting in the middle of "Seconds" from War...

and so on and so on...

During Turtle Blues (Cheap Thrills), Janis Joplin smashes a bottle (of Bourbon, probably) and you can hear it being swept up.

The Tom Waits is a great one. Very creepy. And how about the roosters and other critters and things on the track 'Chocolate Jesus' from the same album!

The mighty gong at the begining of AC/DC's Hells Bells. Haunting! Also the fire bell in April Wine's: Oowatanite.
