Has anyone heard either of the two new US remasters of traffic's "Low Spark" and "Welcome to the Canteen"?
I am curious to hear views on these. It'll be interesting to compare the new Low Spark with the Mofi version.

Haven't heard those specific CDs however I have the single CD compilation Feelin' Alright which I believe is drawn from the same remasters and the sound is excellent. Huge improvement over the earlier versions.

I like the Traffic remasters - and at a mid-line price too.
Would like to hear someone compare the new "Low Spark" to the MFSL

Christopher,
Have you done any comparisons between the MFSL's and the remasters?
My take on this is that soon I'll have the MFSL Low Spark and I'll pick up the remasters. So far though, every remaster I've bothered to compare, Pink Floyd, Blind Faith etc., pales in comparison to the MFSL editions and well, nothing compares to DCC's.

nope, since i don't own the mofi versions.
i have a vinyl copy of LOW SPARK i bought in the mid-late '70's (the black inner sleeve features LPs by marley, eno, traffic, palmer, etc.) and a beat-up UA copy of BEST OF TRAFFIC, issued well before LOW SPARK.
LOW SPARK was always a very good sounding LP to me and the remaster will not disappoint. personally, i've been pleased with the traffic reissue program overall; even the mono/stereo versions of the first album are interesting to have.
i just hope it takes less than a year to see SHOOTOUT issued.
