Any Graham Nash fans here? Has anyone heard Classic Records' reissue of his Songs for Beginners solo album? I just ordered one and I was wondering if anyone has heard it and has opinions to share. It seems it's a total remix job.
I happen to like it best of the solo records CSN&Y all did in the aftermath of Deja Vu ... well, maybe not more than After the Gold Rush, but as much. "Simple Man" and "Sleep Song" alone are just gorgeous tunes ...

Yes, it's a total remix job.
I enjoy it like this, but (as Steve would say), the original stereo mix has vanished to the dustbin of history. :(

Not as long as I hold onto my Atlantic original too. :)
Thanks for the comment ... I look forward to hearing mine when it arrives.
Was this released on Quiex vinyl? My copy of the new Kind of Blue on Quiex sounds alot noisier than the older 2lp set they released a few years ago. Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it all in my head??

It was ... just double-checked their Web site.
I hadn't heard about any quality issues with the newer Kind of Blue issue ... In fact the folks on the Phonogram list gushed over it.
I didn't buy it myself ... I have the 2-LP version and am mighty satisfied with it.
Mine was very good, just a little noisier than the first one. I might have not noticed if I didn't have the first one. I think if you have the first release there isn't much of a reason to get the new one. I did and now I'm not sure why.
