How are the Japanese Free CD's?

Are they actually remastered or just re-releases?

The Free catalog got remastered by Island recently to follow up after the wonderful "Songs From Yesterday" box. I wonder if they found that the master they used for the self-titled LP had just about as many dropouts as Bad Co's "Straight Shooter".

...Or if that WAS the master. I just got done buying up the whole Free catalog soon after they started rolling out the remasters. I'm not that brave (or excited) on replacing my A&M of "Fire & Water" or my Island "Tons Of Sobs".
