Does anyone know the release date for Kill Bill 2? Originally heard that it would be in Feb. but saw Uma on a talk show last week and she said in April sometime. Has it been announced and is there a place where you can find out such things? Appreciate any info.

The Internet Movie Database: click here: http://www.imdb.com has a release date of 2/20/04.

Recent rumors on the Ain't It Cool News web site have it being pushed from February back to April or May.

Grrr ..... I thought Vol. 2 was finished! Is the studio pushing the date back?

I'm not sure what would push it back, but studio is a good guess. This is what Harry Knowles wrote the other day on Ain't It Cool, with his list of top 10 films he can't wait to see this year:

KILL BILL VOL 2
How did this not end up in the top ten? I think it comes from me getting depressed over the rumors that this might not be coming out till April or May. I talked with someone that's seen an early cut recently and they're like gaga crazy for the damn thing, and I know I should be to, specially given just how much I'm dying to see this one....

Thanks for the info everyone and for the database site Craig. Here's hoping that the rumors started from the same talk show I saw Uma on and that she didn't know but was guessing. It's going to be tough waiting for April or May. Though maybe they want to release Vol. 1 on dvd first and that would explain a later release date.

I wonder if they will put out KB V.1 out on DVD prior to V.2 in the theater? Perhaps that is why they are delaying it a few months? Pure speculation on my part.

Whenever it hits theaters, I'll see it. To tell the truth, Part 1 wasn't exactly on my Best of 2003 list.

Actually, with the Oscars being presented a full month earlier this year (Feb. 29), I'll be spending most of February catching up with any Oscar contenders I missed, so it's just as well for me if Kill Bill Pt. 2 is held until April.

thedigitalbits.com and DVD Talk release list both list Kill Bill V.1 as being released on February 3rd.

Here is a note that says the Kill Bill Vol. 1 DVD is delayed until March, because Kill Bill Vol. 2 isn't coming out until April:

From Entertainment Weekly on-line:

''Kill Bill'' fans who've been waiting anxiously to learn the ultimate fate of Uma Thurman's sword-wielding Bride character will have to wait two months longer. According to Variety, Miramax has delayed the release of Quentin Tarantino's ''Kill Bill -- Vol. II'' from Feb. 20 to April 16. Miramax gave no reason for the move, but it would allow the studio to whet interest for the theatrical release with the expected April 13 bow of last fall's ''Vol. I'' on DVD. April 16 also sees the multiplex debuts of Greek bride Nia Vardalos' new comedy, ''Connie and Carla,'' and the Marvel Comics vigilante saga ''The Punisher.'' The Bride vs. The Punisher: Now there's a showdown.
