Kinks katalogue?

I'd love to see what Steve could do with those great Kinks albums of the late '60s: Face to Face, Something Else, Village Green, Arthur, Lola.

Failing that, how about a DCC edition of Reprise's excellent Kink Kronikles kompilation? That set provides a nice overview of those years, and as a bonus we could finally get "Berkeley Mews" on CD. ;)

Would it even be possible for Steve to do this? Who would he have to get klearance from? Kastle Kommunikations, or maybe somebody from the Kinks' kamp? (Okay, I'll stop now. :D )

The story goes that most of the master tapes have been lost and judging by the disappointing sound of the 1998 castle "remasters" (except Arthur which is noticably improved over previous versions), I believe it. So without the masters I don't know if Steve could improve much on what we already have.
