Whats wrong with these Preamps?

Guys, i've been looking for a set of tube Preamps for my Rotel.

If I changed the 12AX7 to a Telefunken, and changed the cap inside, any reason I should buy these?

I'd like to know your opinion. Steve, if you read this, please chime in!!

You're looking for Phono pre's only? Your Rotel has no inboard Phono pre?

You can do better than this. They're cute, but do you have any electronic board-level knowledge, Mikey?

Sckott, I have assembled electronics prokjects in the past. I could solder in a few new caps without much problem.

The whole idea is that I'm transferring a bunch of Capitol Records LPs to DAT and I want to do it thru a tube Preamp.

How could I do better than these?

If you're going to do it right, and you know your way around a soldering iron, I would get something worthy of a decent vinyl rip without spending too much.

I'd leave these Chinese wonder-boxes alone.
