Equalization Software

Does anyone know of a CD burning program that includes an "on the fly" equalizer? So far all the software I have or have seen only have the ability to set equalization levels before recording. This means you have to set, test, reset and test again. Both slow and inacurate. Any ideas?

You can get up to a 30-pint EQ level on Cool Edit Pro, and it also includes presets.

But you have to rip the CD down, Eq, save then burn. On the fly? I donno. But this way, you can test before you finalize. Much better, although just a tad tedious, it works like a mo-fo.

I don't really like the idea of arbitrarily adding measured amounts to many music files. I also wouldn't process a 16-bit file with EQ as it burned to a CD-R!

Besides, doing this may cause your music to clip, which could or would result in digital distortion. This is not a good idea, Dave.

It is better to critique each file and add the EQ and make level adjustments BEFORE burning the file.

Having said all that, CD Creator's Spin Doctor will do this if you wish.:(

The NERO Cd Burning software lets you set the processing for each track including EQ, Stereo Vocal Elimination and lots of other stuff and then it does it while it burns.

Thanks for the link. I don loaded the software last night but didn't have time to try it out. I'll play with some this weekend and see how it works.
