For those interested what "For those interested" was about, it's more of the "EMI's problems are the fault of Glitter/Mariah Carey's fault" and now EMI will have to cut jobs to save face.

What's embarrasing is, a lot of people got paid off from bad deals. About EMI:

"....But even a surefire winner like Pink Floyd's greatest hits package Echoes last year has not been able to shore up the slip."

Money's too tight to mention.

Can't say I'm a big Mariah Carey fan but it's the same story as the company I work for (and I'm sure we've all experienced): bad management making bad decisions and pointing the finger at someone else.

It never ceases to amaze me how alot of, mostly mentally immature or with addiction problems, people will point the finger at someone else rather than admit and take responsibility for their own actions.

While the Mariah Carey deal must have contributed to EMI's woes, it certainly can't be blamed as the sole reason.

I am curious though, if her last album only sold 2 million versus an average of 8 million, just how many cds was EMI expecting it to sell to make a profit on her $80 million dollar contract and over how many years? I'd love to see the break even presentation on this business proposal.
