Does anyone know if the family estate has made any strides in
releasing JH in the hi-rez format.i sure would love to hear Electric Ladyland in Sacd.Steve H give them a call i'm sure you would like
to work with Hendrix masters, maybe you already have in the past i don't know. Also Axis:bold as Love would be great in hi-rez.

Only speculation on my part but if and when the day comes for hendrix in a high resolution format I'll guess that it'll be DVD-A. The Hendrix Family has put out so many DVD's that obviously they like the picture aspect to be tied to the music. Although I'll welcome any Hendrix multi-channel release.
I remember Eddie Kramer in a 1973 Circus magazine( no remarks please) article saying that Electric Ladyland had so much going on on some of the tracks that you could come up with endless unique mixes.

I'm worried what might happen when an acidhead listens to Hendrix in surround sound instead of stereo. It might just be too much : )

I spoke to someone that works in a high-level position at EH awhile back. He said they are considering both formats. Jimi SACD would be cool, but what I *really* want from EH is for them to release some of those completely unheard soundboards they have.

Paul L,
That's ok, nobody said that you actually had to buy it.;) :D

I know a guy who has tonnes of soundboards. I'll ask him.
His current favorite is The Sweet.
