I know of one. Prix will enjoy it.

From Queen I, "Great King Rat":

A lont ime ago, on the Queen discussion list (back when Queen's web address was queen-fip.com), it was discussed that:

    - Freddie Mercury, on his last tour, used to dress up as a king, and
    - He was born in 1946. He died in 1991, when he was 44 years old.
    - He died from AIDS. Not exactly syphilis, but a venereal disease (in his case, that is) nonetheless.

    Weird.

Back in '95, both Notorious BIG and Jeru The Damaja made reference to "blowing up like the World Trade Center".
This was obviously in reference to the prior attempt to blow it up with the van bomb, but it still makes it hard to listen to either of those tracks today. :(

In the same vein, John Lennon singing "Shoot Me" in Come Together. I know he's talking about a different kind of shooting, but it's still kind of weird...

Even more prophetic from Arthur Lee: "They're locking them up today and throwing away the key", and "We're all normal and we want our freedom". He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 1996 but let out last year (or 2001, can't remember which).

"Rain On The Scarecrow" John Mellencamp was foretelling 10 or 15 years ahead of time. Sad, but true.

The first song on the first album by the 70s jazz-rock horn group Chase was "Open Up Wide". The last song on their last album Pure Music (recorded just before the group perished in a plane crash) was "Close Up Tight". Coincidence or prophecy?...we'll never know.

The group's leader, trumpeter Bill Chase , was a relative (first cousin) of mine...RIP :(

Buddy Holly's last single: "It doesn't mater any more."

And who was it that released "Three steps to heaven" shortly before he died?

Weird. You are right. He died 1 month after his 45th birthday. I wonder why nobody ever noticed this.

For that matter, "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" makes for eerie listening.

Interestingly, I was listening to the Born in the USA album the other day and Bruce makes a joke in Darlington County about how "our pops each own one of the World Trade Centers". I'm assuming he didn't do that song (or at least that lyric) last tour... :(

"Turn And Run" from Neil Finn and Wilco's "War On War" both seemed like they couldn't possibly have been written before 9/11, but they were, even if not by all that much.

"I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive" was Hank's current hit single right at the time he died.

the last song terry kath sang lead vocals on was the last song on side 2 of chicago 11, "little one".

listening to the words after he died still is weird for me.

Wilco's "Jesus etc." written prior to 9/11:

    Tall buildings shake
    Voices are scared
    Singing sad sad songs
    Two two chords
    Strung down your cheeks
    Bitter melodies
    Turning your orbit around

I know little about them but there is a band that calls themselves I AM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. Their debut album came out in July, 2001. Track 11 is entitled "September." Freaks me out.
