All,

With musicality as a given, what are the key audio cues that you look for, or gravitate to, when listening to a system?

Here are some that I can think of (by no means exhaustive, please feel free to add to the list):

- Treble
- Midrange
- Bass
- Soundstage
- Depth
- Control
- Accuracy
- Palpability
- Tone
- Air
- Placement of instruments

I probably lean towards Midrange, Accuracy, Depth, and Palpability. Deep bass doesn't excite me.

Any others?

Forgot to add Transparency. That's a big key for me with any recording.

Air - Placement of instruments
You can combine these two under the label Imaging, and it along with soundstaging is my primary music cue.
