Why do the vocals sound so spitty and harsh on track 4? I thought this version was supposed to sound good.

Is it the other tracks that sound good and not this one? Does this track sound good to you, all of you who own this version? Are the voices bright, harsh and spitty on your copy like they are on mine? Enquiring minds want to know.

I don't remember... I hardly ever played it since, like you, I thought the CD didn't even come close the the UK Harvest LP (but not just on track 4). Sold it to one of those collectors on ebay. Meddle from MoFi wasn't as bad though.

Why?, I couldn't say. But since you've brought it up, Ive just listened to it and to the same track
from the latest of the Japanese remasters, and I like the Jap version better. The limited remasters
coming out of Japan lately have got my attention.
Like everything else however, some are better and
some are not, back to the "whatever floats you boat" scenario. I would like to add that with all the past and present hype around MFSL's version of
Steely Dans "Aja" release, I think the remastered
Jap version in the mini-lp format blows it away.
As far as the floyd's go, Ill keep both versions
around, they're so different, Im justified! :D

Please, the word "Jap" is not allowed here. I know it's common in the world of collecting LP's and CD's but not on this Forum.

Thanks very much!

The correct abbreviation is JPN.

Sincerest apologies, no offense intended.
