How rare is the original uncensored cover? Does the LP sound differently from the one with the censored cover? I only have the latter but would like to know if it's worthy to search for the original.

You can find it. I had one, at one time. S/b something like $50 (or less if the record dealer knows little about the slight rarity of it)

but no, it's not VERY rare. Sparce, yes.

I don't think it's very rare. I paid about $5 for one within the last couple of years.

Last summer, I picked up a (budget-priced) copy of the CD in Amsterdam with an uncensored cover. Unfortunately, the booklet had no lyrics or credits - very odd, since the original US CD has a foldout with them.

Btw, did anyone read the interview with Waters in Rolling Stone? He actually seems to be mellowing! Accepting a dinner invite from Nick Mason...WOW! And how they met up again is very funny and sweet.

Paul,
I've seen em lately for around 20 NM. Whether or not they sound any better I do not know. However, the US domestic copy has ok sound. I'd love to see Steve do Amused to Death. Anyways, try ebay or redtrumpet.
Cheers,
Tristan

I think it sounds great and I picked mine up for around $5-$10. Don't pay too much. The vinyl of Amused to Death is also very good, and goes for more money than copies of Pros & Cons. If you can see him on tour in Europe and elsewhere in the coming months, I recommend it.

I bought Amused To Death when it came out. Didn't quite like some of the lyrics. Waters thinks Chairman Mao Tse-tung was greater than Generalissimo/President Chiang Kai-shek. Well, at least Mao beat Chiang and killed/caused the deaths of more people.
