OK, folks. Maybe you can clear up my confusion. I've seen the Ed Sullivan Beatles Broadcasts advertised on television mail order as, I believe, a 4 DVD set that is around $60 or so?
At Best Buy the other day, I saw The Ed Sullivan Beatles DVDs as a 2 disc set for $22.99. Also, the sets at Best Buy came in 3 different colored artwork variations. I couldn't see if there was any difference in content because they came with 'bonus' postcards that were attached to the back and blocking the disc information.
My question.....what is the difference between the set advertised on TV and the cheaper versions offered at Best Buy, or other stores?

NOTHING!
They have the same content as the "TV" DVD's...at a humongous DISCOUNT...(I Still Feel Ripped Off:mad:...There never was a 4 DVD Ed Sullivan Set available via "TV" or anywhere else:)

The difference is...................................... ......(ta-da)....NOTHING!!!!
You save BIG BUCKS!!!
I fall for the old "These might be withdrawn" line and pay list price.
It happens every time.
Jon reads hook, collector brain dials phone, Jon pays list price.
Been there, done that! :D

OH MY!!!!! I honestly thought that the $22.99 set at Best Buy was missing some complete programs or content.
Well, that's another thing to add to my DVD wishlist. Still gotta pick up the Beatles Anthology.

One difference I noticed, the commercial release has the Beatles faces on the cover. My mail order copy has the Beatles in silhouette instead.
There was no 4 DVD version, but the shows were advertised on the web site in a 4 VHS version, one episode per tape. No difference in content, just that the 4 shows were combined onto two discs for the DVD.
