I saw in one of your auctions that you think the Simply Vinyl "Tommy" comes very close to the original Track Records version. Can you give some more details?

Bottom line: hard to tell it apart from an original Track copy, still the best version to my ear. That's all I need to know!

I purchased the German Who Box Set "Phases" which contains all the original who lps on Polydor. It has all the original packaging and seems to sound pretty good. Has anyone heard these lps and any thoughts on the sound in comparrison to say the Simply Vinyl Tommy or other releases.

I know it may not compare to the original Track releases but I don't have that kind of cash.

Well, that's the best place to find (most of) A Quick One in stereo. You'll only have to hunt elsewhere for So Sad About Us (it's in stereo elsewhere) and See My Way (it's in mono elsewhere) - both are fake stereo on that disc.

One of these days I need to compare my Decca Tommy to the 1993 CD.
