Hey anyone want to post photos of their System or Listening rooms. I personally always find room photo's interesting when they appear in magazines.

I'd show ya mine but I don't have a digital camera or a proper scanner...

Todd

P.S. Bummer, isn't it?

I do have a digital camera but the attachment limit here (37k) means I can only upload an image that's roughly 400x300. Is there a way to overcome this without a hosting service?

I do have pictures hanging off my home page at www.geocities.com/ghtoz but they can't be directly linked to another site. Mmm, some of these are a bit dark. I'll have to fix that.

Regards,
Metralla

Beautiful. The tone arm only weighs about two pounds, and the steel needle is good for TWO plays!

Nice system, Metralla.

How do you like those Welborne amps? Did you put them together yourself?

Steve, now you're cracking me up. That's real nice, what brand and year is it? My floorstanding Victrola is from around 1918 I think.

Glad I could make you laugh for a change, Tele!

That is a Columbia Grafonola from around 1913.

I used to collect old talking machines, but now I just have that one and a floor standing Brunswick from 1918. Oh, and two Edison Cylinder machines......

Still too much stuff!

I do REALLY like this thread. I have friends who think I'm nuts for buying gold plated CD's (I'm sure we all do) and ask me what I do when I "just want to listen to some music."

I usually shut them up by telling them that I have this old hand-cranked victrola buried in the back of my closet for just such an occassion. Its total bull***** of course but I just love being a smart ***.

Steve,

And how many plays out of each audiophile lp do you exactly get on this fine piece of equipment?:D

You rich guys and your hi-fidelity record players.;) :D

Hey - TommyTunes:

Screw the equipment - NICE JERRY DOLL - I got one also. ;)

Actually nice set-up. One question - it looks from the pictures you are practically sitting up against those beautiful speakers.

I guess we all make compromises, huh?

Hey, TommyTunes, what iteration of VPI HW-19 is that? I've got a very heavy platter, but that looks like a new TNT platter sitting on top, yes? What's between the Target and the turntable? How many more questions can I ask in a row?

Thanks

It's VPI 19 MK IV with the TNT MKIII platter and the TNT MK V spindle, SAMA, JMW arm with Helicon and SDS power supply. The table is sitting on a Bright Star 19 Air Platform.
The Platform was one of the best things that I ever did to the system.

:D One thing I will say for you is that you put your money into the music. At least place your speakers apart so that you have some stereo imaging.

I get my stereo imaging through my surround speakers (one by my bed and the other on the bookcase where my country CD's are). For my main speakers, why are they the way they are is obviosly space.
