Hello all, I have to belive there are at least a few other car nuts here so I am hoping you can help me find a piece of video I saw a few years ago. I am sorry, but I don't have a name, title, maker, year, or anything but if you have seen this you will know what I am talking about. The video is about 15 minutes long and appears to be a home made shoot from the interior of a moving vehicle. The time frame looks to be about 1970 +/-, and the place is european. It starts with an unseen driver getting into his sports car, starting it, and then driving off to someplace in a big hurry. There are no words (my favorite for car stuff as you can hear the engine and tires), no music, no other sounds than that of driving very hard. The car drives on some rural roads and then goes through down town. This appears to be exactly what the maker of the film did as the other cars on the road do not treat this guy with any special regard. As a matter of fact he almost hits a car at an intersection because the other guy did not stop for a red light. Anyway he continues through town and eventually ends up at a public building where he gets out at his final destination. He hastily parks the car, gets out with a cool cat attitude, and then walks up to a woman who is waiting for him. That is the end of this short film. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks.

Rendezvous.
A real drive, filmed in the early a.m. in Paris. It is available online, but is very expensive for a 12 minute film.

The director was Claude Lelouch and the car was a Ferrari 275 GTB. The film is also sometimes identified by the longer title, "C'Était un Rendezvous".

I read in an A/V publication that it was recently released on DVD, and supposedly sourced from the original film.
On a related subject, Nissan has a clip of a 350Z blasting through Prague. Its really a rip-off of Rendezvous, as far as I can tell.
They downloaded clips to my Tivo, and then allow one to order a DVD of the whole shoot. Its free, so I ordered a copy.
Watching the clips, it does not look very fast, and the audio appears to be phony to make it seem faster than it is.

Have your received the DVD yet? I just read a review and am dying to hear some reactions. Sounds unbelievable...
