One of my Tannoys is worse than the other. They've got the classic, lattice, wood fence grills and during heavy bass program material, they have been known to buzz and rattle. What sucks is that it's hard to tell if it's coming from the grills or if it's a blown speaker. It drives me nuts. Listening to something like MFSL Exodus or Getz and Gilberto is pretty much a worthless experience. The two-hit drum intro in "Hotel California" will set them off as well. Anyone else have this problem with your vintage speakers?

God, I love it when you post photos of your vintage gear!:goodie: Those cabinets are how tall again? I forget. I thought you said they were like 40 inches or so but they look smaller than that. Well, my grills rattle. Probably due to shipping damage. The wood was broken in several places and I had to reglue. So seriously, you are telling me that if you put in your version of "Hotel California" and crank it up nice and LOUD....that your grills don't rattle when the band kicks in? Those two tom tom hits do it to mine every time.

Around 40 inches tall.

No, they don't rattle, no matter what I give 'em. They were designed NOT to rattle and they don't! :)
