Does anybody know if the DCC Paul MCCartney "Ram" cd had a slipcase when it first released? I have found 2 sealed "Ram" with shrink wrap. Are these just re-seals? Just wondering

Every DCC Gold CD had a slipcase or a long box.
Those are re-seals.
But, if the price is right, the music is great.

I found a couple of earlier DCC gold CDs (e.g. Bob Seger, The Cars, McCartney RAM) sealed without slipcase here in Germany. Maybe they were (re)sealed by the German distributor after removing from the longbox. As you perhaps know in Germany and other European countries new CDs never came in longboxes and in general were/are not sealed.

The original Ram DCC issue did not come in a longbox per se. Both McCartney (S/T) and Ram came packaged in a black plastic frame the size of a longbox - similar to the old MFSL packaging. The front exhibited the booklet (which was removed from the jewel box) on the top and the jewel box with the disc visible on the bottom. The back had a black cardboard insert with white lettering that gave the track listing and mastering info. Band On The Run was packaged in a slipcase inside of a custom longbox, while Venus And Mars, Red Rose Speedway and Wings At The Speed Of Sound were packaged simply in the cutaway slipcase.
(Steve - when you've got a few moments, I'd like to get a bunch of inane details from you about these DCC projects for the next edition of 'Eight Arms'.)

I had no idea that these would have been packaged differently in Europe. I picked all of these up within days (OK, maybe weeks) of release here in the States, so I'm relatively confident that I have original domestic packaging. I'd love to see a pic, if you still have longboxes around. I've got an obscure longbox for a US release of Ram (c. Summer 1987) that was pulled before it got very wide distribution. The true domestic release didn't take place until January of 1988, and by then the artwork for the LB had been completely re-vamped.
