Unfortunately I missed the start today, but I will go tomorrow.

I have read 2 reviews in our online-news... very bad reviews

 They said: they fascination has gone, no creative dialogs (like in the first part) and it's only a big bumm bumm... just Popcorn-movie!

Aw, it was much better than the reviewers said. I don't really know what everyone was expecting, but I liked it alot. :)

Getting very bad reviews at Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/TheMatrixRevolutions-1127201/).

Currently ROTTEN with only 38% positive reivews.

On the "Cream Of The Crop" side only 15% positive reviews including Richard Roeper.

Oh well. I guess like most of you, I'll be seeing it anyways.

BTW, it did not open here at 7.00 AM. First showing I was aware of in Calgary was at 9.00 AM MST in only one movie complex. The rest started at 12 noon and 12.30 PM MST.

I have seen the movie this afternoon...

My advice for all Matrix fans: watch the trailer and you're happy.

The movie is completely bulls**t. One of the worst movies, what I've ever seen. A Parody!!! :realmad:   I hope the Wachowski Bros. will not plan a sequel :sigh:

I saw it last night and I agree with Claus. I can't see how even the biggest fan of this franchise could leave the theatre satisfied. And that's coming from a guy who actually liked the 2nd movie.

And to make matters worse the theatre I saw it at has stopped selling Raisonette's.

:realmad:

If they sold CD's maybe they would sell the Ravonettes...?

You can tell I loved the first movie. What was revolutionary five years ago is humdrum today. Both this and Reloaded suck, and how. I mean, the big fight capper is a FIST fight? Good God, all I want now is my money back.

I hadn't seen the first movie when I saw saw the 2nd, maybe that's why I liked it. It was all new to me. Of course, a friend has since loaned me the DVD of the first.

All frosting. No cake. Pure suck of $10.00. Sorry. :( And you all know how much I love the Matrix.

Man, this has been the year of disappointing movies. Even Kill Bill wasn't the royal cheese I had hoped.

Hope to God that the LOTR's next one don't suck!

I really enjoyed it, and it provides a very appropriate ending that is heavily foreshadowed in the first two movies.

Opinion on this film will be heavily divided, especially among the fans. Some people in my group liked it a lot more than Reloaded, and some thought that it was a waste of Reloaded's momentum.

I find myself in the middle. The film doesn't negate Reloaded, but it takes you in a different direction. The real "meat'n'bones" of this film comes from the programs, not the humans. From a programmer's point of view, characters like Sati and the Oracle provide the biggest revelations, and are truly the revolution. They pulled the biggest "woah" from me and my group, but I have a feeling that some of the audience are discarding these characters as "fluff".

Could I rip this movie apart critically? You bet. I could do the same for the first movie. We could do it for any movie. I want to be clear that I'm not say that if you "didn't get" Revolutions, you must be a half-wit. If you didn't like it, then your gut feelings are much much more important than my ramblings.

I liked it much better than Reloaded. (the architect's mumbo jumbo is kept to a minimum, for starters). it's just a popcorn movie, but the sentry fight was pretty amazing.

no, it's not the first one, but nothing ever is.

Reloaded's freeway chase was great... but the Revolution's fighting scenes were boring... the first one (in the disco) was a copy of Matrix, and the last one was absurd... incl. the end!

Yep, The Matrix franchise officially ends with a whimper.

I kept checking my watch during this one (paid $6 for the noon matinee).

After the great start of The Matrix 1 and some cool scenes in Matrix 2, this finally was just a matter of time till it came to its plodding end.

No one I saw it with at my show liked this conclusion.

A "fistfight"?

What a letdown, "Reloaded" seemed like the original by comparrison. This film does not stand on it's own, you have to have seen "Reloaded" to get any of this film. The dialogue was weak, and a little cheesy. "Reloaded" & "Revolutions" should have been edited down into one sequel (with a completely new ending).

At least the first movie was good!

This is one of the biggest pieces of garbage I've seen in a long time. I actually thought the totally lame Reloaded was far better. I really enjoyed the first movie, interesting and innovative, but this is apparently what happens when some movie makers achieve too much success and get too large a budget. I felt like I was trapped inside a bad video game for 2 hours. Even my 14 year old son thought it sucked.

A steaming heap of...

...groat clusters!;)

I was hugely disappointed. It made the second movie look better, which I didn't think was possible.

I thought film two was quite good. even paid to see it twice. But didn't purchase it when it became available on DVD.

I saw Revolution over the weekend & was disappointed. The whole film was very big. In trying to make the action as huge as possible it made the film seem a bit impersonal. I never cared for or feared for the characters.

Oh, well.

And I agree that Kill Bill was also a disappointment. It lacked the wonderful & amazing dialogue that Tarantino is so good at writing. In fact there wasn't much in the way of dialogue in the whole film.

Oh, well. LOTR opens in December.

Saw a trailer for a summer film that is called The Day After Tomorrow (or something similar). It is the new one by the filmmakers behind Independence Day. It was pretty visually stunning.

The inclusion of Jada Pincket-Smith in these movies to me is an example of why The Matrix has collapsed into mediocrity.

All of a sudden she's a "great pilot" that can fly a ship thru any obstacle. Please! She is very believable as a pilot

None of the fighters for Zion seem the least bit real to me.

I avoided this thread on purpose until after I saw the movie today. While it wasn't a total waste of time, it certainly didn't have any creative "wow" factor like the freeway chase in the second movie (or almost all of the original).

Its almost like they ran out of creative things to do with live-action stunts or something. Sure, the CG was fine, but maybe they raised the bar too much with the first two flicks.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

Forgive my ignorance here, but what's the deal with the new Oracle? Did the old actress pass away or something?
