Steve, you had once recommended the HHB Burn It and I see that they have come out with a Burn It Plus. The difference is that the Plus offers Balanced Inputs and Outputs (both Analogue and Digital). I'm going to use it primarily for making copies from vinyl and my preamp can output on either Balanced or SE. My question is would I get better sound by going with the Plus and using the Balanced inputs (I only have a 1 meter cable distance).
Thanks

Stick with single ended unbalanced. IMO it sounds better...

Tom, I've been usiing my HHB BurnIT for about a year now and love it! I was either going to go with the Tascam 700 or the HHB.(Both same price). I'm glad I chose the HHB. You can throw just about any brand CDR at it and it will work fine. It has many useful features. The digital level control is nice and works well. I didn't have this on my previous Tascam model. The sync and fader modes are great also.
The only negative I can say is that it seems rather sensitive to any vibration while it's recording/playing. (I originally had unit on my project work table and noticed discs failing while recording when I would place books or stacks of albums/cd's on table!) I moved it to my equipment shelf and it's been fine ever since.
Best of luck with yours if you go for it!
Tim
