Layla (Original Mix) Single CD

Saw this one yesterday. Wasn't the original 2 CD
release of Layla one of the worst sounding CD's of all time?

Anyone buy this one?

I wonder if the original master was used and is it in good shape.

There have been several remasters of this but I have the one that came out with the Eric Clapton remasters with the clear spine. It uses the original tapes with no playing around with the tempo or mix.

I like it best. It's not overly bright like some. I absolutley HATE the late 80s remix.

This may sound sacrilegious, but I love the remix of the Layla album - especially the scream added to the intro of Keep on Growing.

I actually think the 2 CD version sounds pretty good...
