How rare is this?

I think it's getting more and more difficult to find this DCC gold CD. But there is always hope when DCC resumes production she will re-reissue some of the titles. I was fortunate to buy it for only $24.99 last December.

Here is my question. My copy was sealed with the CD in a standard jewel case. It has the miniaturized LP jacket reproduced with the yellow insert (like the original inner sleeve but it folds open) with the track list and credits, and of course the slip case. Is there anything missing?

I'm asking because my Badfinger No Dice, which was purchased at the same time, came with the slip case, liftlock jewel case (indicating earlier production date?) but no booklet or insert. It could have been resealed but who knows.

I have all the LPs, but would like to get the CDs for the ease of play. They seem to be hard to find now, especially WFTS and LAW. I hope repress or I'll have to get the complete studio recordings.

I just found this yesterday at a local chain record store, sitting sealed on the shelf for $28.99 amongst the regular Doors discs. It now has a happy home. :)

It's a standard jewel case in the cardboard slipcase. The "booklet" is the mini-LP style sleeve with the clear window thingy and the yellow foldout inside.

This title did find the hands of many fans, because here too, is the example of just how nutty DCC went out of their way to get the yellow-filmed die-cut album cover art just like the original Lp. Supposedly, it took quite a bit of time to get right.

ICE magazine mentioned the release, and interestingly, LA Woman was easilly had in many retail outlets, and many mom n pop stores picked up this title. I did used, and it was my 2nd DCC disc-overy ever.

A lot of other issues may sound great at 1st, and I still like listening to my DVD-A, but this one IS how I remember the record, the sound. Nice disc.

Finding a DCC of the 1st DOORS is harder, especially for LP. :(

I remember only a few months ago the vinyl DCC "Doors" album (selt-title) was pretty easy to get at retail price. I kept sitting on the fence (got some splinters). Now that's the only one out of the Doors "series" that I don't have. I'm hoping when DCC gets it's gears moving again they re-release it...

This item is not very rare. Especially the Doors and Cream DCC gold CDs show up in used condition rather often (at least here in Germany). BTW, I have spare copies of "Doors", "Strange Days" and "L.A. Woman" ...

I believe I saw DCC The Doors self titled Gold CD locally here just a few days ago. I could go back around and look if anyone is interested. I don't think I've seen an L.A. Woman since I bought mine.

I think it's nearly impossible to find the first DCC releases with the original longbox! I have thrown all in the trash... except Pink Floyd's DSOTM.
