I haven't used the Gina, but I have used the Layla soundcard from the same company (Echo Audio) and have been extremely happy with it.

I have, and use the GINA 24 bit Soundcard, and I feel its the greatest card in its price range. I have only GREAT things to say about this card.

Before this, I had the GINa 20 bit card anf I loved that as well.

You cant go wrong with the GINa family!!!!

Thank You Vex and Mikey . . . I'm leaning towards the Gina over the M-Audio . . .Mikey...in your opinion, do you think the external box is better for reduction of pc based noises ?

Yes, ABSOLUTELY. You dont have to worry about electrical noises from the motherboard or power supply. Its much better, and well worth a few extra bucks.

If I may butt in for a minute to recommend Adobe Audition...

Thank You Grant. I use Sound Forge 5.0xp...and I think that I'm going to upgrade to a Gina 24 sound card, and the sound forge seems to be limited to 16bit...so, I think it's time for a change.
I'm trying to find out what comes with the Gina...seems like some places are bundling different software with it...I've seen Cool Edit, Cubasis Vst, and I'm aware that Adobe Audition is the new-better Cool edit... I'm just looking for software that will allow me to maximize the Gina card.
I appreciate Everyone's Input...after all . . . We all learn from Each Other... and of course . . . By Living It :-)
Thank You All . . . for such an inviting place to enjoy our differences with music !

The XP versions of SF are very limited, indeed. The regular SF 5/6/7 will do 32-bit float.

Well, I use Cool Edit Pro Exclusively. Once you learn it, you dont want to use anything esle because it is SO powerfull.

Its called Adobe Audition now, as Grant noted.
