Steve- With Classic Records having recently redone the catalog (sigh), we probably wont be seeing the individual albums coming out again in this lifetime. However, good versions of the songs are sorely needed. Is there any chance that you might be able to get hold of the tapes and reissue some of the compilation stuff that came out? Boxed sets/ greatest hits, ANYTHING??!!

I would address my new boss as "Mr. Martinimaster" until he says, "You can call me Martinimaster". :)

"good versions of the songs are needed"

Aw, c'mon. Those Classic pressings sound pretty damn good to me. Sure, Steve would do an excellent job. But don't put Bernie down so quickly. These pressings blow away all but the best british and, dare I say, Led zep II on mofi vinyl. I had japanese pressings that don't match up sonically to the Classic. And the domestic pressings---shhhhsssshhh. Don't bother. CD's?????Maybe "Grant" likes 'em.

hey guys , first off ,you can call me Martin. I was thinking of Led Zep sacd's. A gold box set might be cost prohibitive.I'd settle for L.Z I for now.Kinda get the foot in the door ,then we can be creative.

Martin & Steve,

Should I just mail in my money order now or do you figure it will be a little while yet?;)

Hey Dave, I think we might get the line up and running for a few days before we tackle Jimmy Page, unless Steve's already got Jimmy locked up.

Naaahhh start now! Actually Im pleasantly surprised that you guys think there might even be a chance. LP box is what ID love to see. Would be expensive for sure, but I would be up for it. If you have to pick individuals I/ II / Grafitti need help most, suppose I could live with the rest of the Classic versions if I had to. I- Lightweight, Bass Shy/ II- Very Bright/ Grafitti- Dead as a doornail.

Best of Luck to You
John

Thank you John, It seems that Classic has the market on vinyl Zep and CSN. I don't know the status of the digital versions, I would run that by Steve and Sam.
