Awesome SACD/DVD-A player

I have heard Linn's Unidisk the first time... I only can say: wow! The sound quality is amazing... I have compared the player against SACD/DVD-A players from Accuphase, Sony, and Tag-McLaren. I also have tested the player at home... the CD sound is almost on the same level as my Krell KPS-25s and in some ways even better... more details and very smooth.

Pro: The best SACD AND DVD-A player!!!
Cons: The price... about $ 10.000

I'm hoping the newly arriving Denon 5900 ($1999) will be at that level.

John, sorry, but I doubt the Denon '5900 will be in the same realm as the Linn. I love Denon, but Linn is Linn, and there is quite a price difference there. I'd love to be proven wrong, though. :)

I am test driving the Esoteric DV-50. So far the redbook sound is pretty impressive. I am still sorting through all of its upsampling/ magical bit shuffling capabilities. This is the first SACD/DVD-A compatible player I have had in my system so I can't comment on how it compares to other hi-rez players. The cost is $5500.00.
