Steve,

Any thoughts to remaster Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On or What's Going On? Also Barry White's Greatest Hits, similar to what you accomplished with the Al Green title on DCC. All of the originals are nearly impossible to find on the used market in any condition at any price. It seems like popular 70's soul is vastly under represented on the remaster / reissue / audiophile vinyl market. I'd buy any of them in a heartbeat. Any juicy tidbits on the condition of the masters for these LP's.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom, both Marvin Gaye albums are already available as very fine remastered CDs. And there is a 3 CD box set by Barry White "Just for you" which I think is very, very good and which includes many of the early hits in their album full length versions. For me, this box set, the first three albums ("I've Got So Much To Give", "Stone Gon'" & "Can't Get Enough"; all of them remastered CDs) and the "Rhapsody In White" by the Love Unlimited Orchestra (also remastered) are as good as it gets and all that I need when it comes to Barry White.

tomcat,

I agree about the CD's. Love 'em, but I'm looking for vinyl remasters / reissues. That's what's missing from the audiophile world.
