Last night, rotten day at work, got home, no kids were home(N'SYNC was in Seattle area last night), Opened a bottle of wine, had a fresh baguette, some coppa, salami, cheese, stone ground mustard, grabbed the wife, sat down w/CSN...........

It was almost an out of body experience.....

Have only had my new table a few weeks, but it is sounding better and better all the time.....Dark Star, Cathedral, what a great album........

Then came Pat Methany, some Allman Brothers, Loggins and Messina.......

Can't wait to get home tonight !!

Neat!

And tons more great albums can be found used for hardly anything. Cool, eh?

I'm still a virgin about version/pressings etc.......My system is a McIntosh MC7205, MX132 )w/analog bypass), and MartinLogan SL3's......my new table is a Clearaudio Solution / OL RB250 / Grado Sonata wood body...........

Trying to learn more about different editions on the forum.........

Even though I am not a vinyl diehard (the last "new" vinyl I purchased was Paul Simons Graceland, when it was on the charts), I still look to score second hand vinyl bargains. I have an extensive collection (OK - about 800-1000 lp's - I KNOW that's peanuts to some of you) of the black discs, and at least once a week I play some and think "where did digital go wrong"? To be fair, I also realize that some CD's are superior to vinyl - even the initial issues.

Uncle Al's bottom line: If it sounds good - it is good. Vinyl is still a wonderfull format. The faults of one may not be duplicated by another.
