I ask myself whether to look for that album on DCC gold CD. Is, for example, "Someone to Lay Down Beside Me" taken from the longer album version or is it the single? I would guess that Steve took the tracks from the albums not the singles, wasn't he?

Steve copied the appearrance of the original LPs, with a couple of extra goodies like countoffs and longer fades. I'd say he went back to the album reels.

I am not sure which version it is, but, it clocks in at 4:02.

While I am not sure of the exact versions that Steve used, the sound is, of course, outstanding--incredibly life-like and dynamic! The DCC version is worth owning for this reason alone-the pure pleasure of the listening experience.

Steve went back and pulled all of the original session mixes out for this album. That's dedication. :)
