Just curious to know your opinion, the HHB CDR-830 - is a Pro-level recorder, so I can imagine it should be capable of making cd copies that sound a bit better than those of consumer-grade cd recorders. My question is: how is the playback quality? In other words, to use it just as a cd player, since its considered to be a pro- machine, does that mean its cd playback quality is a significant notch above most other cd players?

Ps- I noticed that the 830 Plus has balanced connectors in the back. I do have a power amp that has balanced xlr input connectors, so I could connect the HHB directly to the amp, but I dont see that the HHB has a volume control on it. ??

I would not use an HHB as a CD player, just as a standalone recorder...
