Since I now have a DV-45a and a SA-8260, I had a problem: my receiver only has one set of 6 channel inputs.
I saw that solution that is like $450 and geared for this, but I'm not looking to break the bank.
So I got two Radio Shach 15-1952 Audio/Video Selector boxes. It's a simple A/B box with no processing, no remote, not active ... you get the drill. So you have 2 x 3 channels in, 1 x 3 channels out. In one I run front R, front L, and center. In the other, surround right, surround left, and subwoofer.
In the process I also upgraded my audio cables and I'm glad I did. Cost me nearly $300 (got them from Cable Solutions, who sells on eBay; they are Carere based and sound great - definitely better than what I had). Needing three sets of 6 interconnects could have broken the bank, but I feel I got good cables for less than $400+ that Monster would have cost me.
Anyway, just thought I'd share.
