I've seen discussion of a version of this album on disc, something about Mobile Fidelity I believe, and was wondering if someone could remind me of the "version to get."
Was it a German pressing?
Was it a London pressing?
Also, does anyone know if the track order is different on this CD than the original Lp. I know my Abcko CD is the same as the Lp, with some of the older stuff on "side 4," ending the CD.
Thanks!

The pressing you want is the West German, London 820 515-2 and 820 516-2. I think this LP/CD had the same track listing wherever it was released-.

Yeah, except I think the American issue differs from all other issues track-wise.
MHR 1 and 2 were *not* released until the second issue of London CDs (thus, they don't appear in London "Digitally Remastered" versions). Because of this, German and Japanese issues are essentially identical.
IIRC, a different version of Poison Ivy is used versus the American CD, Dandelion/We Love You sound better to a ridiculous extent, SAR has the intro clipped, etc...still much preferrable to the US issue.

I compared the Japanese and German MHR2 versions to see exactly what the differences were, mastering wise. While I didn't take the time to "invert" the individual tracks and compare; As I recall, one second overall timing difference between the two discs (probably empty space), and a different peak output level between the two discs. Definitely the same master used on both though. The identical anomalies (e.g. the quick fade up on "Sittin On A Fence", etc...).
