Thanks to all of you!
After much thoughtful consideration (and listening to the piano player last Saturday - see thread on the Music section), I finally settled on a nice enough system I can enjoy!
I gave away the MartinLogans. My parents now own them. They love them for classical, but I never really liked them for pop rock, jazz and prog rock.
I dusted off my old JBL LX-66s. Adding my Adcom amplifier made for a pretty nice and inexpensive system. That one will be my "fun" system - man, those JBL's can rock!
I finally assembled my personal system. It's pretty simple, actually. Mr. Margules helped me, by trial and error, to assemble a cost effective, relaxing, and superb one (not to mention - I didn't spend too much!). Using a set of his MTM speakers (the A3.2), a hybrid amp (ACRH-1), his ADE-24, and my stereo SACD, I now own a pretty nice system. Later on, I'll add my DIY Tempest sub.
That's pretty much it.
And I'm happy now. It's all about the music from now on! :D :D :D
