Yes it IS a must. Great table. It shouldn't go for much. Hopefully bidding won't get stupid.

What do you mean by a wall unit ?
Wall mounting bracket ?
Not essential with the AR unless you are using it in a feedback prone environment, as it uses a competently designed and implemented three point suspension system.
A very nice table/arm/cartridge combo.

The suspension will deal with feedback. What it will not deal with, just as the Thorens and Linn, is footfalls or any horizontal or rotational motion.

Hey--that's my turntable! Well, not that particular one:) , but it is the model I have. When I bought it, it was simply called the "New AR turntable" with no model designation. A little later it got the ES-1 designation, probably with a few design mods. At any rate, even with the stock arm, my turntable has delivered top-flight sound for almost twenty years. That's a great price for the TT/cart/arm combo. Good luck to anyone who's trying to get that baby.
